S.E. Shires, a leading manufacturer of high-end professional brass instruments, is seeking an experienced, energetic, and hard-working professional to join the team in Pomona, California. We are a small, tight-knit group of craftspeople dedicated to making some of the finest handmade brass instruments in the world. This is more than just our job, it is our passion.
Responsibilities:
Expedite productivity by way of assisting other technicians with workflow and maintaining a clean and orderly work area
Work under the guidance of an experienced technician in the quality control and final setup of S.E. Shires professional brass instruments.
Follow established procedures on routine work with limited supervision
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Wear appropriate PPE including safety glasses, face shields, and gloves
Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
Support continuous improvement activities and participate in problem solving activities
Consistently meet production, quality, and attendance requirements
Qualifications:
Related manufacturing or musical experience, or certification from an accredited repair school
Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
Able to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment (exposure to noise, coolants, abrasives, heat, cold, and automated and manual machinery) wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, closed shoes, respirator, and other designated PPE.
Able to lift and carry 25 lbs. repetitively, 45 lbs. occasionally, and stand entire shift, as assigned.
Familiarity with standard office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
